- ECG: electrocardiogram is a recording of the heart that shows how your heart is functioning. Doctors place small adhesive electrodes (stickers) or suction cups on the chest and record the heart rhythm and heart rate, looking for abnormalities. The test only takes a few minutes and is completely painless.

Koch’s Postulates: In 1882, Robert Koch identified the bacteria Mycobacterium tuberculosis as the cause of tuberculosis. To prove this, he developed a set of principles known as Koch’s postulates, which laid the foundation for modern microbiology:
- Find it – The germ should be present in all cases of the disease, but not in healthy individuals (people who don’t have a disease).
- Isolate it – The germ must be isolated and grown in pure culture.
- Test it – Introducing it into a healthy organism should reproduce the disease.
- Prove it – The same germ must be recovered from the newly infected organism.
Although modern science has revealed exceptions (some microbes can’t be cultured, that is grown in the lab, or don’t always cause disease), Koch’s approach remains a cornerstone of scientific rigor in infectious disease research.

- Sarcomas: refer to cancers that originate in supportive and connective tissues such as bones, ligaments, cartilage, muscle, and fat. Sarcomas are both highly diverse and rare, accounting for less than 2% of all malignant tumours overall. Their share varies strongly by age: they represent over 10% of cancers in children and adolescents (0–19 years), around 5% in young adults (20–39), and only about 1% in people aged 70 and older.
